As a charitable organization, NPower Canada would not be able to fulfill its mission of supporting deserving job seekers gain access to meaningful employment without our strategic partnerships. These partnerships enable us to make it possible to empower individuals to take control of their futures through our free professional training and certification programs—individuals like Ehiwe Idehen, whose career journey began with serious challenges, and evolved to resilience, and successes.
Ehiwe was going through an extremely tough period of his life before joining NPower Canada’s Junior IT Analyst program in 2023. “I had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, and balancing my health, treatment, and professional aspirations was immensely difficult,” he shared. After relocating to Ottawa, Ehiwe learned about NPower Canada through a friend and applied. “This decision proved pivotal—NPower Canada offered me not only advanced training and certifications, but also critical mentorship and professional development support,” he said.
After graduating, Ehiwe continues to flourish on his career journey as an NPower Canada alumnus. He currently holds the position of Scrum Master and Technical Project Manager with ADGA Group Consultants in Ottawa and enjoys good health. “I am now in remission, and I am honoured to be in a role where I can lead agile teams and manage complex technical projects that deliver real value,” Ehiwe said. “To those who are thinking about applying to NPower Canada, take the initiative because NPower Canada provides the tools, support, and community to help you succeed. If I can overcome such significant personal adversity and still thrive professionally, so can you.”
Ehiwe’s experience is one of many in the mosaic of NPower Canada success stories made possible by generous corporate partners, like SAP.
