How it works


Read the eligibility criteria

  • Each program may have specific criteria for who is accepted into the program – make sure you are applying appropriately.

Attend a Tech Wednesday info session

  • Not sure which program is right for you? Attend one of our Tech Wednesday virtual info sessions to meet the staff and ask questions before you apply.

Complete the online application

  • Once you apply someone on our admissions team will call or email you directly.

Participate in an Interview

  • Once you apply an NPower Canada staff person will contact you as part of our selection process. We will then notify you of the final decision.

Join the class - online

  • Currently all of our classes are online. Once admitted, get ready to learn and earn the certifications that will help launch your IT career.

Get to work

  • We will help you land a full-time job using the skills and you’ve learned. Our team will help you with interview prep and connect you with employers to Launch your IT career.

Program Eligibility


We are committed to serving those who need us the most. Each program has specific eligibility criteria or prerequisites please consult program pages.

  • You are a young adult between 17 to 30-years old, and a resident of Canada
  • You have a high school diploma or GED from a recognized Canadian or international educational institution.
  • You have a valid social insurance number (SIN) or a valid work permit. Your work permit must be valid for at least one year after the program start.
  • You are unemployed or under-employed or facing financial challenges and barriers to employment.
  • You have advanced English language skills, level 7 and above, including speaking, reading, writing and understanding.
  • You demonstrate a strong motivation to work and to learn.
  • NPower Canada encourages applicants from the following groups: women, Black Indigenous, People of Colour (BIPOC), LGBTQ2S+, and youth with disabilities.
