Self-Directed Courses

Career Development Workshops

Alumni Programs become available six months after graduating from NPower Canada’s Junior programs, offering a range of opportunities for career growth and exploration across different fields. Each program is designed to support alumni in advancing their careers or transitioning into new roles and includes a certification upon completion. 

All program participants have access to unique workshops which explore various career paths, job search strategies, and learn from industry experts in their field. 

The Google Project Management Alumni Program runs January 13, 2025 to April 25, 2025 and will be offered in English.

In this program, alumni will:
  • Gain an immersive understanding of the practices and skills needed to succeed in an entry-level project management role 
  • Learn how to create effective project documentation and artifacts  
  • Practice strategic communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management 
  • Learn the foundations of Agile Project Management 
Career Opportunities:
  • Planning Assistant 
  • Junior Project Manager 
  • Project Coordinator 
  • Project Manager 
To be eligible:
  • You must be a graduate of an NPower Canada Junior program
  • You must reside in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Ontario, or Quebec
  • You must be committed to gaining employment or growing your career (individuals seeking work will be required to actively job search during the program)
  • You must demonstrate strong motivation to work and learn in a self-directed environment

The Google Data Analytics Program runs January 13, 2025 to April 25, 2025 and will be offered in English.

In this program, alumni will:
  • Learn data-cleaning, data ethics, and data visualization skills 
  • Practice problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication 
  • Learn to use presentations, spreadsheets, SQL, Tableau, and R Programming 
Career Opportunities:

Data helps organizations understand their business and customers. Individuals with Data Analytics qualifications can enter into analyst roles or perform data analytics as part of another role in the company. Many employers look for data analysts who have experience in their core business, so entry-level roles like Help Desk Specialists or Customer Service Representatives are potential entry points into a career in Data Analytics.

To be eligible:
  • You must be a graduate of NPower Canada’s Junior IT Analyst or Junior Security & Quality Assurance program 
  • You must reside in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Ontario, or Quebec.  
  • You must be committed to gaining employment or growing your career (individuals seeking work will be required to actively job search during the program) 
  • You must demonstrate strong motivation to work and learn in a self-directed environment

In partnership with Hootsuite, NPower Canada alumni have access to Hootsuite’s Academy Courses. Alumni can access these licenses at no cost, to earn industry-recognized social media credentials. The following courses are available for NPower Canada alumni:.

We are also excited to share our Microsoft Skills for Jobs Program Tool Kit which is available for all of our alumni. The skill kit enables our alumni to access LinkedIn Career Essential Certifications for free, to further support them in developing their knowledge. Additionally, completing a Career Essentials Certificate will make you eligible for a LinkedIn Premium Scholarship.
