Childcare

Founded in 1928, Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV) supports thousands of families and individuals across the Lower Mainland living in need, in crisis, or with trauma.
For more than 135 years, the YMCA of Greater Vancouver has cared for kids, shaped leaders for tomorrow and helped generations of people come together to find support, get healthier and make friends for life.

The PCRS provides employment services to job seekers and employers in various communities to help participants prepare for employment, secure and maintain jobs, and gain meaningful work experience.
Founded in 1973 by a passionate group of immigrant volunteers who wanted to contribute back to Canada, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. has evolved into one of the largest social service agencies in the country.

Essential Services

The Friends in Need Food Bank Society was founded in 1989 by two women in Pitt Meadows who saw a need to assist the hungry in our community.
Food Banks BC is the provincial member association of food banks in British Columbia and supports their members through the provision of resources that support growth and sustainability.
BC Housing works in partnership with the private and non-profit sectors, provincial health authorities and ministries, other levels of government and community groups to develop a range of housing options.
The Red Door Housing Society is a non-profit housing society that has provided affordable rental housing in the Lower Mainland since 1985.
BC Rent Bank’s goal is that regardless of where you live in the province, you can be supported to help maintain your housing.
Lookout Housing and Health Society is a non-profit charitable organization established in 1971 offering a range of programs, housing and health solutions to vulnerable adults living with multiple challenges.

Finances

StudentAid BC helps with the cost of post-secondary education through student loans, grants, and scholarships. They also have programs that help with loan repayment.
If you are in need and have no other resources, you may be eligible for income assistance from the Government of British Columbia.

Indigenous Youth Services

The Native Council of Nova Scotia is the self-governing authority for the large community of Mi’kmaq/Aboriginal peoples residing off-reserve in Nova Scotia throughout traditional Mi’kmaq territory.
Vancouver Aboriginal Child and Family Services Society supports Indigenous children, youth and families in the Vancouver region by providing restorative, holistic and culturally grounded family services.

Well-being

BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services provides specialized treatment, education, health promotion and more for British Columbia’s.
The Crisis Line Association of BC (CLABC) is the provincial association representing member crisis lines from across BC.
Doctors of BC is a voluntary association of 14,000 physicians, residents and medical students in British Columbia.
HealthLink BC provides reliable non-emergency health information and advice in British Columbia. Information and advice is available by telephone, our website, a mobile app and a collection of print resources.
