Abel H. – Alberta – Junior IT Analyst & Google Project Management- September 2020 Graduate
Abel had been searching for a job since he graduated from high school. He completed one semester at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, he wasn’t sure what to do next. He found out about NPower Canada through his family, which had recently launched in Alberta.
Part of Abel’s struggle was that he lacked professionalism, focus and direction. He needed guidance in his career search, to figure out what he was interested in and to hold him accountable to his goals. “If you are young and still do not know what to do, then I seriously recommend NPower Canada to anyone that just got out of high school,” Abel had to say.
Abel graduated from our Junior IT Analyst program in September 2020, and was eager to continue learning. He enrolled in our Google Project Management alumni program to equip himself with more in-demand skills. Abel plans to continue earning industry-recognized certifications while working to bolster his resume and show that he is a continuous learner.
Immediately after graduating from NPower Canada, Abel landed his first tech job as a Hardware Asset Management Analyst with Wipro Canada. Today, Abel is working full-time for Intact Insurance as a Technical Advisor, and has this to say to people considering the program:
“Please take an NPower Canada program. The things you learn literally matter in everyday workplace gatherings. Learning to communicate with proper etiquette and self-development are continuous skills.”
