Sofia- Junior Data Analyst – Ontario – May 2021 Graduate
Sofia knew she wanted to make a change in her career, but didn’t know where to start. She could tell that society was shifting towards a tech-centered era, and this is where she would find employment opportunities, but wasn’t ready to commit to a four-year university program.
NPower Canada’s 15-week Junior Data Analyst program seemed like the perfect program for Sofia. It would give her the tech knowledge and experience she needed to get her foot in the door.
“NPower Canada has given me the tools and skills I required to make that change in my life, and now I’m on a career path that resonates with my core values and allows me to continue to learn and grow.”
Part of the reason Sofia enjoyed the Junior Data Analyst program was because of her peers. “The learning environment is filled with like-minded individuals who all strive towards making a difference in their life, which motivated me during the time I was feeling lost,” she shared.
Now, Sofia is employed full-time as a Legal Administrative Assistant at the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic. She’s thankful for the opportunity to enroll in a non-profit organization, and humbly bragged that she’s “the tech wiz that everyone looks to for support,” which she takes a lot of pride in.
Here’s what Sofia would say to people who are considering an NPower Canada program:
“It can be difficult to make that first step towards the life you see for yourself. It can be even harder to get out of bed and convince yourself you’re worth more than where you are. However, at the end of the day, if where you are doesn’t allow you to shine, then you should surround yourself with those who want to see you grow, who want to see you succeed, and will be there to help you transform the life you seek – that’s what NPower Canada offers.”
