Tejumola A. – Ontario – Junior IT Analyst – 2023
Tejumola’s journey began when she moved to Canada from Nigeria in 2022 with a background in business administration and commerce. Upon her arrival, Temujola soon recognized that she needed to increase her skill set so that she could find sustainable employment. She said “I had difficulties gaining employment with my previous experience…I wasn’t getting interviews with employers no matter how hard I tried.” She aspired to work in the tech field, although she had no idea of where to start.
When Temujola learned about NPower Canada, she immediately registered for the Junior IT Analyst program. With the help of NPower Canada, Temujola developed her skills and was able to identify her dream career as a cloud or software engineer. She reflected, “NPower Canada has been able to give me a road map to achieve my dream job.”
When she finished the Junior IT Analyst program, Temujola felt more positive about her potential career opportunities and personal growth. Her newfound confidence resulted in gaining employment as a Technical Support Representative at Kelly Services Canada, working for Apple Inc.
Temujola credited NPower Canada for “equipping me with the right skills and professional development to be able to tailor my resume, optimize my LinkedIn, and answer interview questions greatly, which was my biggest obstacle before.”
When asked for some words of wisdom to offer anyone considering NPower Canada’s tech programs, Temujola chimed in:
“Anyone who wants to launch or enhance their Tech career should enroll with NPower Canada, as they have well-experienced and highly supportive instructors who will impart great learnings and skills that will quickly help them land their dream jobs.”
