Steven Y. – Ontario – Automation Specialist and Founder – 2023
Steven arrived in Canada in 2022 from Hong Kong, determined to build a career in the tech industry. Despite his strong background in data analysis and franchise operations across Hong Kong, he faced challenges finding opportunities due to a lack of Canadian experience and tech-specific qualifications.
Before joining NPower Canada, Steven struggled to transition from the food and beverage industry into tech. “Employers wanted local experience and certifications I didn’t yet have,” Steven shared. That’s when he discovered NPower Canada and applied to the Junior IT Analyst program.
“The program was life-changing. I gained essential IT skills, industry certifications, and the confidence to tackle technical challenges,” Steven reflected. “It set me on a clear path and expanded my career potential.”
After graduating, Steven’s career progression accelerated:
• January 2024: Promoted to Automation Specialist at Maple Study Link Inc., where he applied his skills to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
• January 2024: Successfully completed the CompTIA A+ Certification, further strengthening his IT expertise.
• March 2024: Earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, enhancing his ability to manage complex projects and teams.
• October 2024: Founded his own company, AHA Solutions & Systems Inc., specializing in AI-powered automation and no-code solutions for small and mid-sized businesses.
Now, as the founder of AHA Solutions & Systems, Steven is fulfilling his dream of combining AI, human collaboration, and automation to help businesses reduce manual workloads, streamline operations, and grow sustainably.
