ALUMNI SERVICES FAQ

The Alumni FAQ is here to answer common questions quickly and clearly. Whether you’re looking for program support, trying to access resources, or want to better understand what’s included in your five-year support journey, this section has you covered. It’s a simple way to stay informed, connected, and supported as you move through your alumni experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Alumni have access to services for up to five years post-graduation from NPower Canada Junior program.

NPower Canada alumni, have access to the following supports: 

  • First 6 months: Access to Career and Employment Specialist (CES), Alumni LinkedIn community, Career Development workshops, potential to complete an Enrichment certification with a NPower Canada partner organization. 
  • After 6 months: Limited 1:1 support, Career Development workshops, Special Events, potential to complete an Enrichment certification with a NPower Canada partner organization, opportunity to apply for an alumni program with NPower Canada. 

While job placement is not guaranteed, alumni can access job search support, including resume reviews, interview prep, and networking events, through Alumni Services.

Alumni Services offers personalized career coaching and support, including guidance on changing industries, updating your resume for new roles, or navigating a job search in a different field.

  • First 6 months: Connect with your assigned CES for employment support. 
  • After 6 months: Connect with the Alumni Services team for resume review, mock interview, or personalized job search advice. 

Stay subscribed to the alumni newsletter, join the Alumni LinkedIn group, and regularly check the NPower Canada website for updates.

Alumni Programs are offered three times a year, with cohorts starting in January, May, and September. We update our website, alumni newsletter, and LinkedIn group when applications open. For more details and to explore current offerings, please visit Alumni Programs page. 

Please note that our programs are competitive, and acceptance is not guaranteed. We encourage you to apply early! 

You can connect with other alumni by joining the alumni LinkedIn group, attending alumni workshops and events, and participating in activities organized by Alumni Services.

Yes, six months after graduation, alumni can book 1:1 session with the Alumni Services team for personalized career coaching or mentorship.

You can update your contact or employment information by emailing the Alumni Services team. 

For employment updates, please include the following details: 

  • Employer’s name 
  • Job title 
  • Employment type (part-time or full-time) 
  • Salary or salary expectations 
  • Start date

No, all alumni services, including career coaching, workshops, and networking events, are free of charge.
