Maximiliano NC. – Ontario – Junior Data Analyst – 2024
Maximiliano, a 2024 NPower Canada graduate from Ontario, shared his journey to success that came with great determination and resilience. Originally hailing from Mexico, Maximiliano arrived in Canada in 2023 to expand the horizons of his career.
Before joining NPower Canada, Maximiliano faced barriers to finding sustainable employment in Canada due to his lack of local experience and education. Despite his background in environmental engineering, Maximiliano soon realized he needed additional qualifications before he could advance his career potential. When he learned about NPower Canada, Maximiliano knew this was his chance to successfully enter the Canadian workforce, so he immediately applied for their Junior Data Analyst program.
Upon starting NPower Canada’s program, Maximiliano felt a shift within himself. “On the professional side, the Junior Data Analyst program helped me boost my programming skills. Learning different technologies and applying the concepts in real life datasets made all the difference, it was so comprehensive,” he recalled. “On the personal side, the program was a fantastic space to connect with classmates from diverse backgrounds across the country.”
After completing his Junior Data Analyst certificate, Maximiliano felt well-prepared to go back onto the job market. “The program enhanced my ability to work on relevant technologies and put me closer to finding employment,” said Maximiliano.
Shortly after his graduation, Maximiliano secured stable employment and began working in commercial operations for natural gas transportation at Enbridge.
When asked to provide advice for anyone considering NPower Canada’s programs, Maximiliano enthusiastically responded:
“You will not regret entering the program. It is definitely a fast-paced one, so it’s a real benefit to have professional and/or educational experience dealing with multiple deadlines, working under pressure, and a good understanding of how programming languages work.”
