Laura J. – Nova Scotia- Junior IT Analyst – May 2022 Graduate
With only a high school diploma, Laura was struggling to find stable, full-time employment that she found fulfilling. She was interested in tech, but didn’t know how to turn her passion into a career. As a single mom to her one-year-old daughter, Laura wasn’t able to dedicate the time or finances to a four-year degree. That’s when Laura’s father showed her an ad about NPower Canada.
Laura joined our Junior IT Analyst program. She said: “The program gave me confidence in my professional abilities, pushed me to get out of my comfort zone, and motivated me to achieve my goals.” We saw Laura flourish throughout the three months, showing significant growth in all of the pillars of the program.
Immediately after Laura had completed the program, she received a job offer with Seaboard Transport. She continues to work there in administrative support, and thoroughly enjoys her job which offers her the flexibility she requires as a single mother.
